Anyone who has an interest in issues raised on this web-site and who supports the charity's aims is eligible to become a member.

Membership is free, though contributions (to help with admin) are welcome. If you wish to join, please send us your name and contact number, (if possible e-mail), so that we can put you on our mailing list. You will then be sent quarterly reports as these are being drafted, for your comments and advice before they go up on the web site. You will also be invited to contribute your own papers to the web site, if committee members are satisfied that they are in harmony with the charity's aims and principles - and meet a certain literary standard ! You will be notified of our AGM's or any other event we organise.

Membership is thus largely symbolic. But for us to know that you are in sympathy with the charity's aims and activities, is actively helpful to us. To have your responses and views, equally so. Keeping station goes better when you know you're not alone. Perhaps the sense of being part of this flimsy, precarious circle, this "community of endurance," can be enriching in both directions. Hyphen-21 is about community, about strengthing in any way we can the frail, the rich, the subtle human bindings that make community ; as part of that effort maybe we can form a small and mutually supportive community of our own.
